Zionesses: THIS IS NOT A DRILL!
The New York City Democratic Party primaries are coming up on June 24 and there is a LOT on the line.
There are things you need to know, take action on, and call all your friends about:
- There are candidates running at all levels who present dangers to the Jewish community
- There are people claiming to be progressive who are associated with DSA, which celebrated October 7 and the murder of two Jewish community members in Washington, DC
- If you are not registered to vote, you can still register until tomorrow, June 14! Registering as a Democrat is the only way to vote in the primary and have your voice heard.
- The primaries will determine the city’s next mayor, comptroller, public advocate, borough presidents, and some city council members.
New York has the largest Jewish community in the world outside of Israel, and is a “blue state” whose politics have major influence in the Democratic Party nationwide. So the stakes are as high as it gets.
Mark Your Calendars: Saturday, June 14th is the last day you can register to vote in-person OR that your application can be received by mail to register for the June primaries.
- June 14 also the day early voting starts, and the last day to request an absentee ballot.
- If you can’t vote in person, you can request an absentee ballot online HERE.
Tell you friends, your family, your neighbors: Go out and VOTE!
